'GETTING ACQUAINTED' VISIT
Complimentary
It is important that families, furbabies and sitter are comfortable with each other before booking and commencing the visits - for this reason we provide a complimentary 'Getting Acquainted' visit in your home for each new family. We'll discuss your furbabies' routine and any foibles they may have. When everyone is happy we can proceed to make a booking.
KEY COLLECTION AND RETURN
$18
Most of our families provide us with the keys or advise where they will leave the keys (eg in a combination key safe) at their 'getting acquainted visit' - if that is not convenient, you can arrange to drop the keys to us, at a mutually agreeable time. Or for an additional fee, we can pick them up, at a mutually convenient time, prior to the visits.

ADD AN ADDITIONAL FEEDING CATEGORY* or MEDICATION
$10/Additional feeding category*/visit or medication visit

Do you have lots of furbabies each with their own food and feeding routine? Up to 3 feeding categories* can be catered for in a standard booking, if you have more than 3 then they can be catered for by adding additional categories to your booking per visit.

If your furbaby requires medication please discuss the requirement prior to booking. We are happy to consider requests however we are unable to accept if the pet is likely to bite or attack the carer. If the request is accepted then an additional charge per medication visit, will be charged due to the extra time that will be required.
We want to ensure that all your furbabies get the individual care they need but that does mean extra time per visit.
MAIL COLLECTION AND GARBAGE
Complimentary
Nothings says 'We are on holidays' more than overflowing letterboxes and garbage/recycling/green waste bins not being taken out or brought in, that's why, if you let us know your bin days and provide your letterbox key, we can do that for you when we are doing your furbaby visits.
WHAT IS A 'FEEDING ROUTINE'*?
You have 4 pets each have the same food and feeding routine, so that is one feeding routine but if you have 4 or more pets and each has a different food and feeding requirement then that is 4 or more feeding routines.
We want to ensure that all your furbabies get the individual care they need but that does mean extra time per visit and this is reflected in our pricing.

ABOUT
PAWS AND ALL PETSITTING
My name is Lisa and I live my husband, two children and my fur-babies (4 cats and a dog) and my feather-babies (3 chooks).

I have had pets all my life and have a particularly affinity for cats (especially oriental breeds who can be demanding but very social). I have a Certificate III in Companion Animal Services. I have been professionally caring for other people's beloved fur-babies for four years.

I know how difficult it can be to go away when you have pets. I know mine don't like going to catteries or kennels. Save yourself the hassle of drop off and pick up from the cattery/kennel and have me look after your fur-babies in your home.

I am happy to look after cats, dogs, pet mice and pet rats (having kept them for a number of years as a child), rabbits and guinea pigs (sorry no ferrets). I can take care of your feather-babies, be they domestic birds (eg budgies, canaries etc) or domestic fowl (eg chickens, ducks etc). If you have a scaly-baby, I am happy to look after lizards and turtles (sorry no snakes).
I travel to your home in Woden, Tuggeranong, Weston Creek, Molonglo, South Canberra and Jerrabomberra

If you are a new customer we will arrange a time for a 'getting acquainted' visit and then we can discuss whether you would like to make a booking. Once you have requested a booking we will let you know the cost and how to make payment.

Regular customers can use the contact form or email us with the dates for their booking and we will then let you know the cost and how to make payment.

Q. Do you offer dog walking?
A. Unfortunately we are unable to offer dog walking at this time.
Q. How do I know if you are available?
A. Check the availability calendar above. If you are unsure please send a message through the contact form or email us.
Q. Can I change my booking?
A. Depending on availability, we are more than happy to extend your booking. Bookings can be reduced or cancelled however the amount of notice given will determine whether there is any cancellation penalty (particularly at peak times).
Q. Can I cancel my booking? How do I do this?
A. Bookings can be reduced or cancelled however the amount of notice given will determine whether there is any cancellation penalty (particularly at peak times).
Q. Can you water my plants or garden while I am away?
A. We are happy to give a complimentary water to one or two house plants during our visits. However, if you have an extensive house plant collection or if you need your garden watered, a fee will apply. Please indicate at time of enquiry/booking if you would like us to quote on this, so we can factor it into our scheduling - late notice, particularly at peak times (eg Christmas/New Year) may mean we will be unable to assist.
Q. My cat sometimes misses the litter tray or leaves a furball, is that a problem?
A. It is not uncommon for cats to miss or have a furball and we are used to picking up after them. However, we are unable to offer a carpet cleaning service (other than cleaning the initial mess, with products provided by you).

If your pet is incontinent and is very prone to urinate or defecate around your premises, please let us know at time of enquiry/booking, as an additional charge may apply due to the increase time taken to pick up after them. We are unable to offer a carpet cleaning service (other than cleaning the initial mess, with products provided by you).
Q. My pet is on medication, can you give that to them?
A. We have experience in administering oral medications and injections, however we will need to discuss your pets requirements and their compliance, particularly with strangers - we will not be able to accept the request if the pet is likely to bite or attack the carer. If more than one person is required to assist with administration (ie one to hold and one to medicate) then an additional fees would apply. For oral medications we ask that families provide a 'pill popper' available from your vet.

Q. What happens if my pet bites or attacks the carer?

A. If your pet is territorial and likely to attack someone who they consider an intruder, please advise at time of booking.

If your pet bites or injures a carer, undetaking their pet caring duties, including the administration of pre-arranged medications, and the injuries require medical treatment, then you will be billed for the out-of pocket expenses occured.
Q. Do you have insurance?
A. Paws and All Petsitting has public liability insurance.
Q. What if my pet bites you?
A. Please let us know at time of enquiry/booking if you pet is prone to fear biting or if they are scared of strangers. While we make every effort to avoid situations where we may be bitten, some activities we undertake for you, such as medicating your pet, that carry a greater risk that we may be bitten - animal bites are exceedingly prone to infection (you know where their tongue has been) and require immediate medical attention and antibiotics. If your pet bites or injures us you will be advised immediately and you will be asked to cover the out of pocket medical/medication expenses of the sitter.

A. Hopefully, this won't happen.
But when you book we will ask for the name and location of your regular vet, your contact details while you are away and the contact details of a trusted person in the event we are unable to contact you.

If you are mildly concerned we will contact you and ask if you would like your pet taken to the vet. If we are exceedingly concerned and believe that it is an emergency we will take your pet straight to your vet, the closest vet or the after-hours emergency vet (whichever we think is appropriate under the circumstances). We will try and contact you as soon as possible.

Families will be responsible for all vet/medication costs incurred - if you have pet insurance please provide these details at time of booking. Additional transportation costs may also need to be reimbursed.
